Garden Rules

  • I/we will respect the garden and its users at all time.
  • I/we understand that my/our involvement at the garden is a privilege rather than a right.
  • I/we will carry away rubbish and dispose of it off the garden site.
  • When I/we use tools I/we will always be aware of the safety of others and my/our self.
  • I/we will be responsible for the supervision of any children I/we bring to the garden.
  • I/we will practise organic gardening principles for the management of pests and diseases.
  • I/we will be wise with water use and follow any water restrictions that are in place.
  • I/we understand that my participation at the garden is at my own risk. The GHCG is not liable for any injury to me/us, my invited friends, nor for the loss of any of my possessions and accept personal responsibility for working safety to minimise any risks to myself and to others using the garden. However if an incident occurs onsite I/we will complete an incident report form and notify the committee ASAP.
  • I/we agree to look after any tools and garden equipment owned by the garden, use them safely and wisely and store them as you would like to find them.
  • I/we will maintain noise at a level that is not disturbing to the neighbours.
  • I/we will give as much to the garden as I/we hope to get out of it and will help maintain the overall site and keep the garden going.
  • I/we will share my knowledge and experience with others.
  • I/we will access the site only during daylight hours as much as possible.
  • I/we will update the committee of any change to my contact details.
  • I/we will not bring domestic animals onsite.
